Via Colori is a fundraiser for The Center for Hearing and Speech, a non-profit organization that teaches children with hearing loss to listen, speak and read.

The festival’s theme, “70 Years in Color”, will celebrate the Center’s past seven decades of serving children with hearing loss.

Houston Via Colori® Street Painting Festival

Event Description:

The 12th annual Houston Via Colori® Street Painting Festival is one of the city’s signature art and music festivals. More than 200 local and international artists converge on the streets of downtown Houston to create live street paintings right before your eyes. Attendees can enjoy live music performed by local bands and entertainers on three stages, family-friendly activities, and delicious local food and beverages. A private VIP Lounge features exclusive themed mini-events throughout the weekend.

In the past our walkers have enjoyed DJ, Photo Booth, Brkfst Tacos, Snow cones, Face painting and a MoonWalk  all provided by our generous local sponsors.

our program presentation topic will be:

        HPD SWAT Team

Come meet your Houston SWAT Team!  The Houston Police Department SWAT Team is a Tier One Regional SWAT Team that has the responsibility of responding to all Special Threat Situations involving active shooters, barricaded suspects, snipers, hostage situations, terrorist activity and threatened suicides.  On any given day you may see members  of the SWAT Team conducting training in the following areas;  firearms training, fast rope and rappelling operations, waterborne operations, helicopter operations, weapons of mass destruction and hostage rescue to name a few.

Armored vehicles, firearms and tactical equipment will be on display.
